New Piggy treats from the Potting Shed

THE PIG, set in the heart of The New Forest, has announced a list of sumptuous new treatments for the charming and quirky Potting Shed.

The single treatment room is in-keeping with the THE PIG’s shabby chic style and guests travel through the walled garden and a lily strewn pond to a garden shed that has been artfully transformed into a treatment room, complete with charming features such as a rake-turned-curtain rail.

Spearheading the menu is THE PIG Signature Treatment - two hours of uninterrupted bliss, using the finest organic skincare range from Bamford, including their rosemary, geranium, chamomile and rose oil in addition to Renew body massage oil rose.

Guests will enjoy a detoxifying nettle and lemon tea fresh from THE PIG’s very own walled kitchen garden, whilst relaxing with an essential oil foot soak and scrub.

Following a deeply soothing full body massage, this heavenly experience culminates with a gently reviving facial and a tension releasing scalp massage.

Other fabulous treats include deluxe reflexology and an Indian head massage that is applied to the upper part of the body to eradicate tension.

The de-stress massage certainly lives up to its name, providing the perfect way to relieve stress or simply to experience a total sense of relaxation and well-being.

The deep tissue massage specifically targets muscle fatigue and is aimed at helping the body recover from tension, aches and muscle pains, while the Ancient Stone Massage uses warm volcanic stones to literally melt away muscle tension and ease stress.

Finally, the Ultimate Luxury Facial will definitely put a smile on anyone’s face. Using Aromatherapy Associate products a deep cleanse and exfoliation is followed by a nourishing mask before the therapist employs a specifically designed massage that works deep into facial muscles and pressure points to release tension and recondition the skin. This is then followed by a soothing head, neck and shoulder massage.

Treatments can be booked by guests in advance or on arrival at THE PIG (subject to availability). However, given that The Potting Shed is small albeit beautifully formed, early reservations are recommended.
