Soccer legend Gary Neville to kick off 2012 Annual Hotel Conference

Gary Neville, the former Manchester United captain and England international,has swapped his football boots for hotels and will kick off the 2012 Annual Hotel Conference in Manchester on 3 and 4 October.

Speakers, moderators and panellists at the conference at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate will share experience, knowledge and expertise on a variety of topics including driving sales, revenue
management, harnessing new technologies, securing funding and making green initiatives pay.

Mr Neville recently secured permission to construct a 139-bedroom hotel near Old Trafford with plans to open for the 2014-15 season.

“I have put a lot of work into researching and understanding the hotel business. I am excited about engaging with the sector and look forward to speaking to delegates at The AHC, which is now firmly established as a must-attend event for the UK’s hoteliers,” Mr Neville said.

Jonathan Langston, chairman of The AHC, added: “We are delighted that Gary has accepted our invitation to open the conference, which this year will be the biggest in its nine-year history.”
