The London Savoy IS great shakes when it comes to cocktails - bar none
London's Savoy Hotel is back on top of the world when it comes to coktails.
It’s American Bar has conjured up two awards at the Tales of the Cocktail 5th Annual Spirited Awards in New Orleans, regarded as the “Oscars” of the drinks world.
It has been named World’s Best Bar, one of the most highly regarded prizes in the industry, while its head bartender Erik Lorincz, a 31-year-old Slovakian, was voted Best International Bartender.
Bars around the world were visited by 15 “secret” judges who nominated their favourites. The top four were shortlisted before judges picked their winner.
The Grade II-listed Savoy reopened last October after a £220 million restoration.
