US hotel occupancy up 5.5 percent
The US hotel industry reported increases in all three key performance measurements during the week April 11 to17 , according to data from STR.
Year on year, occupancy increased 5.5 per cent to 60.4 percent. Average daily rate rose 1.4 per cent to US$98.67. Revenue per available room for the week was up seven per cent to US$59.62.
Among the Top 25 Markets, Detroit, Michigan, reported the largest occupancy increase, Washington, DC the largest ADR increase and St Louis the largest RevPAR increase.
